Ice Carving in Bridgton

I went to the Maine State Ice Sculpting Championship (Apprentice and Collegiate levels) in Bridgton on Monday afternoon. It is hosted by the Maine Snow And Ice Sculpting Foundation. The contest was over by the time I got there, but there was a small clinic and the public was invited to try their hand. It was really amazing, the ice cubes were over two hundred pounds each. The winner carved out an elaborate ice sculpture of a winged dragon.Check out their website, there are a few more championships happening this year!
